Anika Noi Rose is an American actress and performer, is an eminent brand in the entertainment world. Her most well-known role is the role of Tiana the first Disney African-American princess In The Princess and the Frog. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. Rose appeared as Lorrell Robertson on Dreamgirls that won the Academy Award. Anika Noni rose (born on September 6, 1973) is an American actor and vocalist. Her most well-known role is her role as Tiana, the Princess and the Frog's African-American Princess of 2009. In 2011, she was recognized as an Disney Legend. Her most well-known roles include roles in the film Lorrell in Dreamgirls the Academy Award winning film (2006) and as LaVerne in the Starz's Power. She is also known for her performances in theatre particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux and as Emmie in Caroline or Change, the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Musical. She also played Beneatha Younger as part of the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
